TRAINING AND CMVP® EXAM IN MEXICO CITY.

The MEXICAN ASSOCIATION OF ESCO COMPANIES (AMESCO) in collaboration with the National Commission for Energy Efficient Use (CONUEE, for its acronym in Spanish), are pleased to offer CMVP training and exam certification of the Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO®) in collaboration with the AEE, that will be given in its representation by Econoler Training Centre (ETC) on Oct 27, 28, and 29, in Mexico City.

The program consists of:

  • Monday 27: First day of CMVP training
  • Tuesday 28: Second day of CMVP training
  • Wednesday 29: Third day of CMVP training and exam

GENERAL VISION

The Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO) is an international nonprofit organization that provides products and services that help to:

  • Measurement and verification of energy and water savings in energy efficiency projects
  • Financial risk management and operating of contracts for energy savings
  • Quantification of reductions in carbon emissions from energy efficiency projects
  • Promotion of sustainable constructions or improvement of the efficiency level of existing facilities, through accurate and effective methodology of water and energy savings identification.

PROTOCOLS

In the early 90s, standardization of measurement and verification of energy efficiency was developed to assist developers, owners and financiers of projects. Today, the International Performance Measurement & Verification Protocol (IPMVP), EVO’s patent, is the international leader in protocol standards of measurement and verification (M&V). The IPMVP has been translated to 10 languages (including Spanish), and is used in more than 40 countries. Currently, is usually named in federal, state, and other uses of measurement and verification protocols.

3-DAY COURSE OF CMVP TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION

The Efficiency Valuation Organization, EVO, for its acronym in English, in collaboration with the Association of Engineers in Energy (AEE, for its acronym in English), established the program of Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) with the dual purpose of recognizing the most qualified professionals in the area of energy efficiency and raise standards in the field of measurement and verification.

When the professional gets the right to add the “CMVP” initials to its name, it is distinguished among other professionals involved in areas that require the application of accurate and reliable methodologies, for the measurement and verification of energy efficiency and savings. Shows that this particular professional has demonstrated high levels of experience, competence, and expertise in its field of activity.

REQUIREMENTS TO OBTAIN CMVP CERTIFICATION

Those wishing to obtain certification must meet the following requirements (in addition to passing the exam):

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
4-year career in a university or college recognized in science, engineering, architecture, business, law, finance, or related fields.

AND

3-year experience in energy management in buildings or factories, or measurement and verification.
Professional Engineer or registered Architect.
AND
3-year experience in energy management in buildings or factories, or measurement and verification.
4-year non-technical grade of a university or college recognized in different fields from the aforementioned.
AND
5 year experience in energy management in buildings or factories, or measurement and verification.
2-year technical grade.
AND
5 year experience in energy management in buildings or factories, or measurement and verification.
None
AND
10 year experience in energy management in buildings or factories, or measurement and verification.

 

Candidates must register for the CMVP exam presenting the request in advance to EVO, through AMESCO. If all requirements are met and the test is passed, EVO will grant the CMVP certification.

Those who do not meet all experience requirements for the CMVP certification but meet the requirements indicated below, may take the test; if approved, they will receive the CMVP-IT title (in training); and in time to acquire the remaining experience, they may request the CMVP certification.

Training course and CMVP exam (3 days)

AMESCO members: $21,300.00.   Non-members: $24,000.00.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The AMESCO reserves the right to cancel training courses a week before the event, in CASE there is not enough assistance. If this is the CASE, payment of the ones who had done it will be reimbursed.
